25 Years of CSEK

We’re celebrating 25 years since Carers’ Support East Kent began its journey supporting Carers.

From our early days in 2001 as Dover District Carers’ Support, helping 400 Carers in our first year from a small office in Deal, we’ve grown year on year, expanding into Thanet, Canterbury and since 2019 proudly supporting Carers across the whole of East Kent.

Over the past 25 years we have:

• Been innovative and instrumental in shaping services, piloting new approaches e.g. Carer Assessments, Carers Hospital Service

• Built strong partnerships with other charities that support Carers and the people they care for

• Ensured Carers’ voices and experience are at the centre of everything we do through our Carer Involvement Strategy and Carer Advisory Group

Thank you to every Carer, supporter, volunteer, staff member and partner who has been part of our journey. It has been a privilege to support Carers, to listen to their experiences, and to witness the strength that comes with looking after family and friends. We’re proud to help ease some of the pressures they face and reduce the impact of their caring responsibilities.
