Carers Services in Kent are changing from 1 August 2026.

Carers’ Support East Kent has delivered some services on behalf of Kent County Council (KCC), including Carer Assessments.

KCC has recently completed a procurement process for a new Kent Carers Service. This new service also includes Carer Breaks.

From 1 August 2026, the new service will be delivered by different organisations. In East Kent, services will be provided by Involve Kent Ltd, and in West Kent (including Faversham) by Imago Community.

Carers’ Support East Kent will continue to support Carers in East Kent, but we will no longer deliver services on behalf of KCC from 1 August. This means that the support available from Carers’ Support East Kent will change. We will continue to develop and shape future services, with Carers at the centre of everything we do.

As we enter this period of change, we want to take a moment to recognise the incredible relationships that have been built over more than 25 years of supporting Carers in East Kent. It has been a privilege to work alongside Carers, families, community groups and partner organisations, listening to Carers’ experiences, advocating for their needs and helping to build stronger communities.

The strength of these relationships has shaped our charity and helped us make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of Carers across East Kent. While some services are changing, our commitment to carers remains unchanged. We remain dedicated to supporting Carers, championing their voices and ensuring that Carers continue to be heard, valued and involved in shaping the support they need.
