Christmas opening hours

Carers’ Support East Kent will be closed from 2pm on 24th December and reopen on Monday 4th January. We will not be able to respond to calls, emails, texts or Live Chat during this time.

Kent County Council can be contacted on 03000 41 61 61 (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) and outside these hours for emergencies on 03000 41 91 91.

If you or the person you look after has a health-related issue, you should call 111 (or 999 in an emergency).

Carers UK’s helpline will be available from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm on 0808 808 7777, including Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to offer advice and information to Carers.

Looking after yourself

Christmas is different for everyone. However, it can be a difficult time for many Carers and put an extra strain on your mental health. You may find this year more difficult than usual because you’ve decided it’s safer not to be with others, or maybe you’re looking forward to a smaller, quieter time. Either way, it’s important to look after your mental well-being and national charity Mind has produced some good tips.
