Community Partnerships

As 2024 draws to a close we wanted to send you all our best wishes for the festive season. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support we receive from our community partners. One of the best parts of our work is connecting with the selfless network of Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, and community partners who go above and beyond to support local causes and help us continue our dedicated work with East Kents Carers.

This year, we have been especially fortunate to receive incredible support from The Chestfield Rotary Club, who chose us as one of their Charities of the Year, the Whitstable Lions Club, and the wonderful Dover Rotary Club. These groups have taken us under their wing, volunteering, hosting quiz nights, and raising funds to support unpaid carers in their communities.

We have also had the privilege of connecting with wonderful companies in our community. Pfizer made a generous donation to help us continue our vital work. Meanwhile, New Appointments Group, Discovery Park, Girlings, Westin Par, The Green Business Hub, Barclays Eagle Lab and Precision Placements helped raise nearly £7,000 by crossing hot coals for Carers at our Fire Walk Event at Discovery Park in October.

Thank you for your commitment, passion, and kindness—you are amazing!

There are many ways you can get involved:

• Help raise funds through employee fundraising events, dress-down days, bake sales, and other activities.
• Nominate us as your Charity of the Year.
• Distribute our information and signpost our services to customers and employees.
• Participate in Carers Week each June to raise awareness of carers and the support available.

We are here to support you in any way we can! We can also provide information on how you can best support employees with caring responsibilities.
