Consultation: Adult Social Care Charging Policy
Kent County Council (KCC) are proposing two changes to the Adult Social Care Charging Policy for people who receive care and support in their own homes or in the community. These changes would not affect those who live in a residential care or nursing home. The proposals are to:
- stop disregarding the higher or enhanced rates of some disability benefits when we calculate a person’s income
- introduce a new Self-Funding Arrangement Set up Fee for people who pay for their own care (self-funders) and would like KCC to negotiate, arrange and manage care and support services with care providers on their behalf
KCC are asking for views on the proposed changes. This consultation runs until the 7 April 2024.
